Welp, We Are Moving… AGAIN

This is getting a bit ridiculous. Ellie and I have been married for 1 year and 1 month, and beginning September 15th, we will have lived in 3 different places. First, our tiny little apartment in a Chicago suburb. Then, our tiny little house in a small Wisconsin / Illinois border town. Finally, a slightly larger place on the golf course where I work! We’re not excited to move all of our stuff again, but we are excited to live in the new place.

There are a few things that really, really excite us about making this move. First, it’s a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath duplex unit, which means… WE GET TO LIVE WITH OUR FRIENDS! Ellie and I will share a room, my twin sister will take another room, and one of our friends from college who currently lives in Washington state will make the cross-country trek in his stick shift jeep wrangler so that he can occupy our third room!

The second very exciting thing is that we will be living right on the golf course where I currently work! Our backyard is about 25 feet from the 15th green and 50 feet or so from the 16th tee box. Do you know what that means? We can literally golf whenever we want to. For that, we are SUPER pumped. At least I am! We also get to watch the sunrise over the golf course which is freaking awesome!

The third thing that we are stoked about is that our commutes are practically non-existent now. As I said, I could walk 5 minutes to work now considering I live there. Ellie works less than a mile away so she can drive a minute down the road, and we can sell a car! Anything it takes to get closer to our nomadic dreams!

Finally, we are no longer stuck with that unpleasant landlord of ours. The last few months we’ve been dealing with him and let’s just say that our relationship has been rough. Repairs are not being made in a timely manner, he doesn’t put any effort into our property whatsoever, and he’s just not a very nice guy. We finally get to ditch that nonsense and feel at ease with our landlord situation!

Anyway, this is more of an update than anything. Things have been super crazy for the last month or so, being in Hawaii, Ellie starting to teach and taking on long hours, and now moving. The process is just about complete so you can expect some new posts coming soon! I’m excited to start writing again and working more intentionally towards building out a vehicle. Let’s do this thing!
